Camp Kavod

This year-round program embraces campers with a wide range of special needs, recognizing each child's potential in all areas. All activities are designed to enhance social, motor, language and other life skills that promote greater independence.

Summer Camp
A premier 8-week camp, serving children in grades Pre-K through 12. Families from all backgrounds and religious affiliations are warmly welcomed. Emphasis is placed on helping campers make new friends while having a fun in a safe and nurturing environment. All kindergarten and older camp groups will participate in community-based field trips.

Activities
Swimming, dance, music, cooking, crafts, horseback riding, karate, yoga, sports and fitness, science, digital photography and off-campus field trips. During the last week of camp, older campers participate in friendly competition Levis JCC-style, with Maccabi games -- an unforgettable summertime experience.

Lunchtime and Snacks
Campers enjoy lunch in the comfort of their classrooms with staff supervision. A delicious healthy snack is provided each afternoon.

Campus
Our 28-acre gated and secure West Boca Raton campus features two swimming pools, basketball, tennis and racquetball courts, soccer and baseball fields, a fitness center, Levis JCC Copanos KidFit indoor fitness and play center, boys and girls locker-rooms, a nature preserve and gymnasiums.

During our school holiday programs, campers participate in a variety of activities on campus and in community settings.

Our Commitment
Under the direction of our highly credentialed camp director and director of special needs, professionals and trained volunteers provide a high level of supervision and serve as role models and personal coaches for each camper. Many staff members return year after year, providing campers with continuity in programming and expertise. All counselors and specialists participate in comprehensive training and in-service training throughout the summer. Background clearance is obtained for each staff member to ensure the highest level of safety.
