The Shows

Our Theater Camp is dedicated to the creation, production and performance of musical theater. Our productions are specifically designed for the energy, attention span, and skills of elementary and middle school students, and are adapted for pre- and adolescent voices. Running 60-70 minutes, our shows are abridged but long enough to tell a complete story through script, song and dance. Each session focuses on a complete production.

SESSION 1: June 10 - July 5, 2024

Beauty & The Beast Jr.

Ages 7-14

Based on the original Broadway production and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast Jr. is the story of transformation and tolerance and features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

SESSION 2: July 8 - August 2, 2024

The Little Mermaid Jr.

Ages 7-14

Journey “under the sea” with Ariel and her aquatic friends in Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr., adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture (featuring the enormously popular Academy Award-winning music and delightfully charming book and lyrics). Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid Jr. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid, Ariel, longs to leave her ocean home—and her fins—behind and live in the world above. But first, she’ll have to defy her father, King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl whose enchanting voice he’s been seeking.
