Our Theater Camp is an exciting, comprehensive four-week musical theater program for 7-14 year olds that builds to a rewarding final production both parents and camper-actors will be proud of. We also proudly offer a four-week summer CIT “Apprentice” musical theater program that enables young talent to explore not only their creative side, but to also get behind the scenes by learning lighting and stage techniques, set design, direction, stage management, and lighting plots.

Session 1: Seussical Jr. The Musical
June 12 - July 7 (no camp on July 4)
Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all kids favorite Dr. Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical KIDS, a fantastical musical extravaganza!
Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat, our narrator, tells the story of Horton, who discovers a speck of dust containing the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child, who gets in trouble for thinking too many "thinks." Horton's challenge is twofold – not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him.
Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!
Session 2: Beauty and the Beast
July 10 - August 4
Based on the original Broadway production that was nominated for nine Tony Awards, and the Academy Award-winning motion picture, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. is a fantastic adaptation of the story of transformation and tolerance. Disney’s Beauty and the Beast JR. features some of the most popular songs ever written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice.
The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed to his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.
