Description
The Jews who settled in the Venetian Ghetto came from the Levantine and all over Europe: Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. The Ghetto became the global heart of Jewish culture during the 16th and 17th centuries; the most vibrant Jewish center in Europe.
