Volunteer in our Fit & Fun Sports Program, Saturday Respite Programs, Paul Markhoff Otzar Sunday School Program or Marleen Forkas Camp Kavod Year-Round Programs to make a difference in our community.

All volunteer opportunities are open to high school students and older.

There are many ways you can get involved with our Helene & Roy Schwedelson Special Needs Department. Volunteer for one of the following programs:

Fit & Fun Program

You will mentor a child with special needs in this innovative sports and fitness program where skilled coaches and high school volunteers assist each participant achieve success.

Marleen Forkas Camp Kavod (Year-Round)

Assist staff with a variety of typical camp activities on campus and in community settings. Summer Camp is 8 weeks; Winter Camp is 2 weeks during Palm Beach County's Winter Break; Spring Camp is 1 week during Palm Beach County School's Spring Break.

Weissglass Family Parents Night Out & Kids Night Out

Assist staff while parents enjoy a Saturday night out with 4 hours of respite while their children participate in our well-supervised program. Children will participate in crafts, games, snacks and much more!

Paul Markhoff Otzar Sunday School

Assist teachers in our amazing Sunday School Program where students with special needs are provided an enriched Judaic educational experience, with the goal of enhancing their participation in Jewish life.

After School Enrichment

Assist children with fun-filled afternoons of activities designed to engage and enrich their after-school hours while helping them build skills and socialize with peers. Oversee activities that include fitness, ponies, yoga, homework help, art, science, fun with food, Zumba and so much more.

Saturday Play at the J

Assist staff and participants in this program that is  designed to enable families to have respite time for themselves while their child is participating in a well supervised, structured, on-campus, camp-like program.
