Preschool & Separation

At the Levis JCC Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center we provide an enriching multi-faceted early childhood program designed to foster your child’s imagination, curiosity and intellect. Our fundamental goal is to provide the highest quality preschool education in a warm and nurturing environment. Zale teachers work closely with each child to provide innovative experiences that help build a strong foundation in language, math and early literacy while instilling a love for learning that will truly last a lifetime.

Visit our classrooms and chat with our Twos, Threes and Pre-K teachers about how our curriculum and classroom learning build the skills that are necessary for children to become great problem solvers, successful students and lifelong learners. Full-time, part-time and extended day programs available. Classes run August 22 - May 23.

Teachers

Great beginnings start with great educators

Our dedicated and experienced teachers are certified and highly trained, many of whom have been a part of our team for decades. We take pride in the fact that they are among the area’s most respected professionals. They possess a fine understanding of child development, an interest in the uniqueness of each child and an ability to provide a warm and nurturing environment.

Curriculum »

The Betty & Marvin Zale Early Childhood Learning Center offers unlimited opportunities for growth and learning. Learning occurs when children participate in language activities, pre-reading and math games, songs, construction, drama and experimentation. It is through these exciting experiences that children develop important cognitive, motor and social skills. It is important to keep in mind that children, despite their chronological ages, may acquire skills at different times. We have designed our curriculum to build the skills that are necessary for children to become problem solvers, successful students and lifelong learners.

Separation Classes (18-20 months)

Our unique classes enable toddlers to ease into and experience the wonder and excitement of going to school. Children initially attend classes with a parent (or caregiver), then gradually separate and gain independence with loving support from our teachers.

Preschool (Age 2 - Pre-K)

We believe that each child needs a superior program that meets all of their needs equally: academic, social/ emotional, creative and physical. On a daily basis, children approach learning as an adventure. Our curriculum is recognized by area school leaders for graduating children well prepared for kindergarten and beyond.

As part of our standard curriculum, we offer weekly specials in music, movement, library, science, and physical education. Jewish values are woven throughout our program with opportunities for those of all backgrounds to connect with each other and the larger Levis JCC community.
