Description

Even in a contemporary world so shaped by technology, and so imperiled by environmental threats, artists continue to explore our fundamental relationship with the natural world. After briefly reviewing the tradition of landscape painting, we will consider the ways that the genre has evolved since the 1960s into a multitude of art forms, using traditional and unorthodox media, while addressing a range of local and global concerns.
