It is an informative and interactive, humorous and musical, inspiring and entertaining six part series that opens with the story of the first Jewish immigrants of the lower East side of Manhattan and the birth of Yiddish Theater and concludes with an exciting concert performed by Grammy nominated Composer/ Producer and Cantorial Soloist Lawrence Dermer featuring stories of his personal involvement with many of the biggest names in the entertainment industry. Lawrence will be performing the world’s most memorable show tunes in commemoration of the debut of the Broadway musical “Get on Your Feet” the life story of Gloria Estefan featuring his own music. March 15 A Star is Born - Hollywood’s Hebrew History- A look at the films and the films scores that made the American film industry the greatest in the world! March 22 From Broadway to Boca and Beyond- Cantorial Soloist Lawrence Dermer performs some of the world’s most memorable show tunes along with some of his own music from the Broadway musical “Get on Your Feet” accompanied by stories of his personal involvement with the some of the world’s greatest entertainers.
