Levis JCC Capital Campaign
The Levis JCC is proud to be the widest, most welcoming doorway for people to connect with our Jewish community, participate in and benefit from essential and enriching programs and services, and create strong social and support networks. This has been true for more than 40 years, and now we are imagining, building and presenting a Levis JCC for the future.

Committing to our Future
Judy Levis Krug
Judy, Levis JCC’s Grand Benefactor, demonstrated her commitment to the Center that her parents named more than 40 years ago with a generous multi-million dollar gift. The new Judy Levis Krug Pavilion will encompass a large and welcoming open space and will house a newly constructed, modern and multi-functional Amphitheater. More than 40 years ago, her parents, Adolph and Rose Levis, named the Levis Jewish Community Center. Now, Judy continues in their footsteps, supporting the Levis JCC and many worthy organizations throughout our community. She noted “my father was my mentor in many ways, but specifically in serving the community. I believe strongly, as he did, in giving from the heart and in the Jewish idea of l’dor v’dor (from generation to generation). I was born into a giving family, that is what I was taught, and that is what I have endeavored to teach my children and grandchildren.”
Toby and Leon Cooperman
Philanthropists Toby and Leon Cooperman cemented their support of the Levis JCC and to our community with a generous $3 million gift, naming the campus that the Levis JCC’s main building currently occupies. The Toby & Leon Cooperman Campus will be the catalyst for thousands of participants of all life stages and abilities to begin or continue their “JCC journeys,” and will impact all whose lives are touched by the multitude of offerings provided the Levis JCC. The campus will now and forever be called The Toby & Leon Cooperman Campus. Leon said, “by helping the Levis JCC in Boca Raton, we can help ensure that people have access to great programs and services in their local community, and that is important to us. The Levis JCC provides great services to people at every stage of life. It provides people an environment that is comfortable, safe, productive—JCCs do so many different things.” Toby continued, “I believe in the role of a JCC. More and more you see that there is a need for our Jewish community to come together.”
Judi & Allan Schuman
Judi & Allan Schuman, passionate supporters of our Levis JCC for many years, continued their generous support with a gift of $1 million. This gift will make creating a beautiful, functional, and comfortable Amphitheater a reality, enabling our Levis JCC to offer a variety of performances and special events outdoors on our stage in our Pavilion courtyard area. Dedicated philanthropists to a number of community organizations, the Schumans are proud to include the Levis JCC in their legacy of caring and support for our community.
